Day 01: Arrive Hanoi (D)
Accommodation: Golden Lotus Hotel - 3 star
Arrive Hanoi, welcome and pick up at the airport, transfer to you hotel in the city. relax. Evening before having dinner, we will have a chance to enjoy the unique Water Puppet show to hear to know Vietnamese traditional instruments and singing from the live musicians who play throughout the show. Having a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 02: Hanoi city tour (B, L)
Accommodation: Golden Lotus Hotel - 3 star
Today we will visit Ho Chi Minh Complex, where we will spend a couple of hour to visit: Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum, his former stilt-house residence, the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh museum and one pillar pagoda. Keep going to see the Temple of Literature: Originally built as a temple to Confucius, this is the site of Vietnam's first university dating back to 1070. The temple highlights the importance that Vietnamese society placed then and now on education. Lunch will be at a fine local restaurant in Hanoi.
In the afternoon, we will visit one of the most interesting museums in Vietnam; Museum of Ethnology, which is widely acknowledged as the best in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam's 54 Ethnic minority people.
After that; we get back to city center where we take one-hour cyclo around the Old Quarter, known as the 36 streets, this bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. Back to your hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 03: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay ( B, L, D)
Accommodation: V’spirit Cruise
08h00 – 08h30 Pick-up at hotel and start the scenic, 3.5 hour drive to Halong Bay. Enjoy the landscape of the Red River Delta country side and have a short break on the way.
12h00 – 12h30 Embark on V’Spirit Classic Cruise followed by a short cruise briefing
13h00 – 15h30 Savor a delectable lunch as V’Spirit Classic Cruises among the limestone islands…
15h30 – 16h30 Kayak among the hidden areas of the bay, around the Luon Cave area.
16h30 Back to the V’Spirit Classic Cruise
16h30 – 17h30 Cruise to Soi Sim island. Go swimming and relaxing at the beach of Soi Sim or climp up to the top of the island for a panorama view of Halong Bay
17h30 Return to the main boat for a shower. Relax or snap photos as the sun starts to set
19h00 Dinner is served. Socialize with other guests, fish for squid, or just laze around. Overnight on board.
Day 04: Ha Long – Hanoi – Night train to Sapa (B, L)
Accommodation: Fanxipan Train or King Express train
06h30 – 07h00 Start your day with Tai Chi exercises or a photo hunt
07h30 – 08h30 Have breakfast at sunrise.
08h30 – 09h30 Explore the amazing Sung Sot Cave – the nicest cave in Halong Bay.
09h30 Return to the boat. Freshen up and check out of your cabin.
09h30 – 10h30 Continue your cruise exploring the Bay, passing Ba Hang fishing village, Dog Islet and more…
10h30 – 11h30 While heading back to the harbor, watch the cooking demonstration before enjoying a traditional Vietnamese lunch.
12h00 Disembark V’Spirit Classic Cruise
12h30 Transfer back to your hotel in Hanoi city center.
16h30 – 17h00 arrive Hanoi, relax.
Evening transfer to the station for a night train to Sapa. Overnight on train.
Day 05: Sapa – Cat Cat Village (B)
Accommodation: Sapa Lodge Hotel-3 star
The train arrives at the Lao Cai train station at approximately 06:00. There will be a vehicle waiting to transfer us to Sapa. Driving to Sapa is only 38 km but it takes around one hour to make our way up the mountains. Once at Sapa, we will check into the hotel (if the room is available – check in time after 12:00). After freshening up and having breakfast we are ready to explore Sapa town. We embark on a lovely walking tour to the hill tribe village of Cat Cat, home of the H'Mong hill tribe minority people. As we walk to the villages nestled in the valley below Sapa we will meet some of the local minority people on their way to and from Sapa. Here we have the opportunity to share cultural experiences with families that live in the area. Overnight in Sapa.
Day 06: Lao Chai – Ta Van – night train to Hanoi (B, L)
Accommodation: Fanxipan Train or King Express train
Breakfast in the hotel we then, embark on a lovely trek that will take us along buffalo paths and trails and through several hills tribe villages Lao Chai & Ta Van, home to Black H'mong, and Dzay people. This is an absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the friendliest people you can meet. Once on the valley floor you can really appreciate the wonderful scenery that surrounds you. The walls of the valley are covered with multi-layered rice terraced fields and scattered villages. Return to Sapa and then to Lao Cai railway station by car. The guide sees you off there and takes you on the train.
Day 07: Hanoi – Departure (B)
Arrive Hanoi in the early morning; we will have a room for refresh before transfer to the airport for the flight back home.
